A collab between RESISTANCE EXPO archive X Yoga in the Stars.
RESISTANCE - A touring exhibition documenting and celebrating uk grassroots movements for social change. The Rebel Spirit - a series of experiential happenings with Yoga in the Stars, set amongst the RESISTANCE archive.
This is an EVOLVING immersive exhibition.
Resistance exhibits over 40 years of UK movements for social change with vibrant images and powerful videos made by leading photographers and film makers, so that people can “learn from the past, to create the future”.
And a series of experiential interactive workshops and gatherings exploring and empowering the Rebel Spirit - with Yoga in the Stars.
Experiential immersions will take you on a journey through 1,000 years of history to understand self, and how we show up in the world. Leading to empowerment, courage for positive change.
This exhibition is preparation for further projects initiated by RESISTANCE and Yoga in the Stars, later in 2026.
THE CALLOUT - GET INVOLVED: Would you like to be involved in creating change? The Rebel Spirit invites you to create through an ongoing open project.

RESISTANCE M11 - the Untold Story, a commemoration and a springboard to gather local community who were in Leyton and Leytonstone during the resistance against the M11 link road. The project will be a major collective effort between people who were active at the time. The story which is still untold is of local residents who fought the campaign before the media arrived and those that remained in the area afterwards, living with its legacy. We would like to hear your stories, see and archive any photos, video or documents you possess and make them part of a future exhibition.
So join us on this month-long journey.
