WAKE UP

WAKE UP is a trans-temporal, queer-led event merging performance, fine art, film, music, and fashion into one immersive experience. We are committed to the queer community, to creativity, spirituality, openness, and inclusivity.

This Halloween edition is themed Skin of Time: a space where memory, decay, and intimacy are woven together. The exhibition begins with an opening performance night and Halloween party, followed by workshops on queer expression (e.g. drag makeup), feminism (e.g. Nü Shu writing), intimacy exploration (e.g. shibari), and more, before the closing ceremony with even more performances on 6th Nov.

TIM BURTON ESQUE HALLOWEEEN EXHIBITION, WORKSHOP & SHOWCASE

MINDFULLYCREATE PRESENTS TIM BURTON ESQUE HALLOWEEEN EXHIBITION, WORKSHOP & SHOWCASE TO FUNDRAISE FOR VOLUNTEER OF AFRICA CHARITY ORGANISATION IN UGANDA WHO SUPPORT ORPHANED & SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS KIDS:

In collaboration with Artworks East Gallery in Leyton Mindfullycreate has partnered with a plethora of artists & creatives from the Afro-Caribbean diaspora to currate a night of art, film, dance & music which celebrates black history, culture & heritage! In collaboration with Waltham Forest Council Black History Month for All initiative all proceeds for this event will go directly to @voa_charity_organisation so they can register their charity provide essential supplies to young people who have either lost their parents to illness or death or who have special educational needs. The aim is to raise enough funds to make Amal & the kids dreams come through creating an in house school, adaptable resources for disabled kids and a local water point. Come along dressed as your favourite Tim Burton character for a fashion competition/best dressed

LED BY RESIDENT ARTIST AND OWENER, LEIA DAVIES.

KIDS WILL EXPLORE THEIR CREATIVITY, USING CLAY, WITH PROJECTS INSPIRED BY HALLOWEEN THEMED ELEMENTS.

EACH DAY OFFERS SOMETHING NEW, WITH PLENTY OF OPPERTUNITY FOR IMAGINATIONS TO RUN WILD, AND FUN!

New Moon Workshop

Join Leia (artist and founder of Artworks East) and Adalet (The Holistic Therapy Rooms) for an evening honouring the New Moon with a sacred connection to cacao, then paint harnessing the New Moon's energies and with the sound of the Gong guiding you towards your heart space and inner landscape to inspire you as you paint.

DISTANT VOICES

Distant Voices is a collective exhibition featuring exclusively female artists that explores historically overlooked and muted perspectives, focusing especially on women and Windrush communities.

Drawing inspiration from film and media, the show critically examines how media narratives, propaganda, and societal portrayals shape and often distort these voices.

A strength and conditioning class designed especially for mums and their babies.
