Born in the Bronx and of Trinidadian heritage, artist Amani Heywood introduces 'But Where Do I Go If My Country Is Burning?'

Heywood draws upon his interests in fashion, philosophy, and architecture throughout his creative process. Techniques such as pouring, dripping, throwing, and spraying paint are employed to layer colours meticulously, blending them until he achieves an image that reflects his emotional experience.
